About a month or two ago, they tore up our road. We hear they plan to put it back together, but so far it’s way over schedule and still in the gravel phase. On one hand, it’s nice because no one parks in front of our house now, but I’m about tired of dusty cars and gravel kicking up when we drive.
Not to be excruciatingly cheerful, but there’s even a positive side to construction. Have you ever checked out the big machinery they use for road construction up close and personal? It’s fascinating. Every night they park the tractors, compactors, and other machinery on the side of the road and leave it until the next morning. To a photographer, that’s an irresistible lure.
